Spook-tastic Fun & Learning with Pinkalicious & Peterrific!

Halloween is a fun opportunity to bring creative arts into the classroom, and inspire projects at home. We’re “treating” Pinkalicious & Peterrific® fans to new episodes on PBS KIDS, new PBS LearningMedia art education resources, and a brand-new web game! Bring the arts to your classroom or home with these all-new arts education resources, now organized around the four performing arts areas: visual arts, music, dance and theater.

Starting October 22, new episodes of Pinkalicious & Peterrific will be airing on PBS KIDS! The first episode will be packed with Halloween fun and crafts like pumpkin carving and making scarecrows! Then, watch for the return of Norman the gnome, an exploration of sidewalk chalk, and a Pinkasaurus sighting!

 

 

 

New Animated Video Resources

pink jig image Singing the Blues teaches children about expressing feelings through music. Cloud Art gets children thinking about shapes, science and imagination behind the creation of art! In addition to the animated videos, two new live-action videos have been added to the collection.

Irish Jig Dancers exposes kids to choreography, and and the steps behind creating a dance. Musical Instrument Maker teaches kids that music can be found everywhere, even in unusual places!

In the new Pinkatastic Stickers game, players can decorate five different backgrounds with “stickers” to make animated scenes. There are pre-made stickers, stickers that can be colored-in, or players can create their own original stickers. Sticker scenes turn into fun animations with the click of a wand!

Based on the best-selling HarperCollins Pinkalicious book series by Victoria Kann, the WGBH-produced PBS KIDS program Pinkalicious & Peterrific was designed to help young children explore the arts and creativity. New episodes playing now on PBS Kids.
